    Excellent

This enhancement has reduced the amount of work on the teacher side and made the simulation easier. You are now able to get more turns in and not worry about math.

    Saves Time
    09/07/2015
This certainly meets the goals of moving segments of the simulation online. Saving time within class while still moving through the conflicts. As stated clearly in the instructions you still need the Simulation material as this is just an online version of the map for calculations and movement. Good work.

    New and improved=double the fun
    09/07/2015
The upgrade on this program allows for my class to move through the simulation at a quicker pace keeping their interest, the enthusiasm high, and makes my life as a teacher and moderator much easier. Thank you for continuing to improve your products. My classes absolutely love the simulations.

    Even Better!!
    09/18/2015
I was amazed when I first came across the original simulation a couple years ago, but this online enhancement has taken the simulation to another level. Adding this aspect has allowed for the turns to go by with more ease and engaged the students even more. I cannot stress enough how amazing this product is at getting my students to really become engaged with history and take on roles of leaders, making decisions with impacts that they can see. The critical thinking skills that this simulation encourages cannot be matched by any other product or lesson for this time period. Amazing!

    WWI Upgrade
    09/19/2015
The upgraded online version of this simulation took what was great to the original and made it more practical and modern! Here’s what I like about it:
-The online portal where you can create a separate simulation for each class instead of fumbling around files
-Use of era appropriate flags for armies
-Auto calculations for movements and mobilizing
-The years set up on the side and as you go through them each new country for that year appears automatically (the various times each entered the war)
-Overall layout and interface looks much cleaner and user friendly than before

I teach on a Native-American reservation in Arizona where the poverty is high and a majority of my students have never seen the world outside their community. Giving them the chance to play a simulation like this in addition to what we’re learning is amazing. I teach WWI to my 7th graders and now starting the new year and they’re 8th graders they still talk about this game! This is a mus have!

    Excellent: Elementary to College
    11/19/2015
I have used Mr. Harm’s simulations in grades 5, 6, 7, 8 and college. No matter the age of the student these activities work! Mr. Harm’s only continues to improve an already incredibly effective product. Well done!

    Pre-service teacher review
    11/19/2015
This was a fun simulation to play in a history classroom. It engages students by letting them lead a countries activities during the course of WW1 and see how their classroom plays out compared to the actual war. The objectives keep the students from making extreme changes to the WW1 setting, such as Great Britain becoming a part of the Central Powers. The objectives all give the goals for students to focus on, besides take territory and defeat armies. This simulation also teaches valuable skills to students. This includes communication skills, within a groups and between groups, as well as geography skills, from key landmarks to the vast distance that must be traveled. The students must all learn how defense played a major role in WW1, and how hard it was to take ground is shown in the casualties of attacking other nations.
